Aalborg University - Water and Environment - a specialization within Civil Engineering

Bachelor Programme (Danish speaking students only)

Semester 1 and 2 form the basis education at Aalborg University and the basic skills in math, physics and project work are developed.

From 3th to 6th semester the primary education in "Civil Engineering" or "Infrastructure" takes place and it involves working with subjects that are related to Civil Engineering (design of structures), Infrastructure (roads, city development, drainage, water supply) and Water and Environment.

Master Programme (Danish and International students - given in English)

If the M.Sc programme is chosen the 7th to 10th semester (or 1th - 4th for incoming students) is a specialisation in Water and Environment.

  1. Groundwater resources and pollution
  2. Water treatment and water quality in natural waters
  3. Three options
    • Urban storm drainage
    • Experimental and numerical environmental fluid dynamics
    • Alternatively a stay abroad is possible at this semester
  4. Thesis work (no lectures this semester)
